Overview

If you have to write a personal statement for your law school, med school, or other professional school application, this class is for you! We’ll consider general principles for writing convincing and persuasive personal statements. And we’ll read and discuss samples of successful statements.

Please note that this class is not appropriate for those applying to graduate academic programs in the sciences, social sciences, or humanities. For those applications, you’ll want the class “Writing Application Essays and Statements of Purpose for Graduate School.”


Intended Audience

This class is designed to help students applying for law, medical, or professional schools to prepare their personal statement.
