Learn how to write convincing and persuasive personal statements for graduate school admission.


Overview

For those applying to masters and doctoral programs in the sciences, social sciences, humanities, or the Arts, this workshop will explore principles for writing convincing essays and statements of purpose, share tips for highlighting your undergraduate work and research interests, and inspire you to make the most of this opportunity to shine.

Please note that this workshop is not appropriate for personal statements for medical school or law school applications. For those applications, you'll want the “Writing Personal Statements for Medical School Applications” workshop or the “Writing Personal Statements for Law School Applications” workshop offered in the fall semester.


Intended Audience

This workshop is designed to help students applying to master’s or doctoral programs in the sciences, social sciences, arts, or humanities.
