Biology 152: Research and Review Team Peer Assessment Rubric

 

Bio152 Learning Goal - Develop and apply collegial etiquette and project management skills

a.     Behave as an ethical, actively engaged and committed member of a research team

b.     Develop habits to meet guidelines and deadlines for assignments

c.     Evaluate your peers’ writing and oral presentations

 

Criteria

  • Deadlines and meetings – Group member meets on time and contributes by deadlines.
  • Preparation – Group member brings copies of papers for review; makes revisions based on feedback to not waste reviewer’s time
  • Feedback – Group member poses questions to all member of the team; provides critical analysis of others’ contributions
  • Participation – Group member: contributes equally to the project; interacts and discusses with other group members; exchanges, defends and rethinks ideas
  • Respect – Group member: shares ideas and findings; encourages and supports the efforts of others; listens and works with each others’ ideas; offers assistance to each other.

 

Standards

 

  • 0 = none of the time
  • 1 = some of the time
  • 2 = most of the time
  • 3 = all of the time

 

Be honest in your assessment – letting teammates know they are not up to expectations will help them be better team members and can improve your group performance in the long run. These sheets will be confidential and averaged scores will be posted on Learn@UW every other week.

 

Comments – use this area to share specific feedback to explain lower scores. You may ask your TA for a summary of any score for a given week.
