Do you have questions about finding accurate sources on the upcoming election?

Join us for this workshop on civic dialogue as we build knowledge and skills that enable informed political participation. This event will help you learn to effectively evaluate sources, incorporate evidence when crafting an argument, and write concisely and persuasively. You will develop strategies for recognizing bias in news sources, and critically reflecting on how issues are rhetorically framed, that will be helpful in the context of the 2024 elections and beyond.  We’ll also learn persuasive writing strategies that will empower you to engage in effective advocacy and constructive dialogue.  The nonpartisan context you gain in this workshop will help you evaluate the November 2024 municipal ballot initiatives in Madison.

Virtual – A Zoom URL will be sent to participants. This is a virtual workshop. You’ll receive a Zoom link from the presenter on the morning of the workshop.
